School Has Begun

I had my first day in school this quarter and I most say that I am very satisfied with my teachers so far.

At first I did not think that I would have the same teacher that I had in macroeconomics in microeconomics. It was confirmed today though that I have that teacher this quarter too and that makes me really happy because he is very professional and interesting to listen to.

My first class was business law, which I have been a little skeptical about. However, the teacher gave out a great first impression and I think that I will have a very fun time in that class.

My consumer behavior class was, unfortunately, cancelled. I was looking forward to that class and to get to know my professor. Instead of just waiting out the time, I went to the gym. I was there for about an hour so that was perfect before next class started.

I am really into reading “The Economist,” these days. I really recommend anyone who is interested in business to read it. There is a student edition so student will only have to pay $77 for 52 editions, which is a great deal.

I will have college algebra tomorrow. I am not very excited about because I really do not like math and I am not that good at it. However, it is my only class that day so that gives me an opportunity to focus more on it.

I bought a really nice shirt at TJ Maxx two days ago. TJ Maxx is a really good store because they have great brands for low prices. I think they buy up companies’ excess supply at a low price and that is why they can offer the cloths at great value.

I have to buy some new books for this quarter. I bought one today at amazon.com and I think that that is the best place to shop at if you are a student. I usually buy used books from there and I save a lot of money thanks to that.

I will also have to sell my old books, but I think I will do that via Berkeley College. I am thinking about putting up posters on notice boards and similar. Last quarter I sold a couple of books by doing that.

Guggenheim Nightmare

My fiancée has to write an art paper for next week so she had to go to the Guggenheim Museum. I wanted to attend because I thought it could be interesting. I was wrong.

I have never been an art person but I love seeing and doing new things. I really believed that going to Guggenheim Museum would be a fun and interesting experience. When we got there, we discovered that the line was very long.

We thought we had to stand there for hours, but it went really fast after they started to let people in. Fridays are donation days so you pay what ever you wish to pay. We donated one dollar for three people, which would be 33 cents per person. I am happy that I did not donate more than that.

The building is actually very extraordinary because it is shaped like a cylinder and you walk in a circle around the building. My fiancée’s objective was to find information about Louis Bourgeois.

I stopped feeling interested in her art just after ten minutes of contemplating it. I understand the art and I can see why she decided to create the things she created, but it is just not what I am interested in.

However, it is not only her art that I dislike. I do not like the art people who are being extremely sympathetic and interested in Bourgeois life. I was actually, at one moment, looking at a couple of boxes, which I thought was part of her creation. I later found out that it was actually just ordinary moving boxes and was not a part of her collection.

Still, many of the weird art people stopped by to comment on this amazing piece, which like I mentioned, was not a piece of art. It is funny how everything is art for some people. I think I am too realistic to see ordinary things as art.

My IPhone works fantastically and I am very happy with it. My Internet has been down for a couple of days but thanks to my IPhone I have been able to send emails and do other small Internet tasks.

School starts this Tuesday so I am getting a little excited about it. I am looking forward to start studying again, but I feel that it will be a little boring with my math classes. It is only on Mondays and Tuesdays though, and I am sure that my other classes will be very interesting, which will make the quarter fun and motivating.

Saying Goodbye To My Family

My family left yesterday, and both them and I thought it was too early. The week has gone really fast and I wish that they could stay for a few more days.

However, we had a great time before they left. We all went to Madam Tussaud’s to see the wax figures at Times Square.

The figures are extremely realistic and I thought it was a blast to see the movie stars as well as the politicians. They have, among others, Morgan Freeman, Bill Gates, and President Bush.

There was also one thing that neither of us was prepared for. After seeing most of the wax figures, we were lead to a 4D movie theater. Staff gave us some 3D glasses and we then took a seat.

At first it all seemed pretty calm and slow but it evolved into more action after a while. The movie was some kind of water show, showing animals in the ocean. For example, when dolphins landed after a jump in the ocean, you could feel water splashing up in your face.

Also, there were a few water snakes sneaking around at one time in the movie. People could then suddenly feel a poke in their back. Apparently, there was some kind of stick in the chair that poked people. It really scared people in the theater because everything happened fast and came as a surprise.

It was the second time in my life that I went to a 4D theater, and it is fun every time. The movies are not that well made but it is still fun because of the extra effects.

You may have noticed that I have posted several blogs during the same day. That is because I have written blogs, but I have not had access to Internet. I have therefore written the blogs and saved it, to later post it when I have access for Internet.

This week has been very busy due to my family’s arrival. I have had a great time though and I have seen a lot of tourist things that I would not have seen if they would not have come here.

Trouble At Times Square

I think I have been really unlucky lately, especially at Times Square. The people selling comedy show tickets and roses have been really rude to me, and I do not know if it is because of me or if they are like that all the time.

The first time it happened was this week when my fiancée and I was on our way home. A guy selling roses asked me if I wanted to buy some and I said no. The response I got back sounded something like cheap head or similar.

The second time was today when my family and I went to have dinner at Friday’s. There was a guy selling comedy show tickets outside the restaurant and he asked people if they wanted to buy it.

I did not even look at the guy because I was busy getting my family inside the restaurant. The ticket guy got angry because I did not look him in the eyes and called me something really offensive, which I do not really remember.

I did not do anything to deserve that so I told him to be quiet. He got really upset after I said that but I did not want to ruin the evening so I went inside the restaurant with my family. I was a little upset for a few minutes after that, but I got my good mood back later when I got back to my family.

I really do not have any idea why people at Times Square act like that, but I think it is because they are not very happy with their own lives.

My day was great other than that. I went to AT&T and they finally gave me an IPhone. I am really happy with it and the salesperson who helped me out is a really good guy. I know really want to take back my negative comments about AT&T. They have after all been very helpful.

The dinner at Friday’s was good. The food is not that fantastic but our waiter was really funny. He pulled jokes and was very easygoing, which made up for the food. I had a New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, and it was actually better than what I had expected.

Baseball In Central Park

Today was fun because I was out with my two younger brothers. The rest of my family was attending a taping of the Conan O Brian show so I had to take care of them.

It has been really nice since my family came here. I sometimes spend the night in their penthouse apartment in Manhattan and that means Swedish breakfast. It is also always great to wake up with the family.

This morning was fantastic. My family and I went to Central Park to play baseball. The weather was perfect and there was a lot of space for us to play on. We were four people in each team but even though it was not much, it still worked out great.

Everyone had a great time and I got some really good hits. One hit was so good that it actually hit a man in the head. It was a little scary at first because I did not know if he got hurt or not. He obviously felt pain but he walked away right after we asked if he was okay.

After the baseball, my family and I went to 30 Rockafeller Plaza. I wanted to make sure that they would find the place so I walked with them. Afterwards, I took my brothers to the American Museum of Natural History.

I was really looking forward to it because it had been more than half a year since I was there the last time. We were, unfortunately, a little late so we only had the time to go to see one show.

Everyone wanted to see the space show so we went to that one. I still remembered it from the last time I was there, but it is always impressive to watch it. We also walked around the museum to see the dinosaurs and the meteorites.

The kids really liked it, but I think my youngest brother fell asleep at the end of the space show.

To finish the day, my brothers and I went to have lunch at Subway. I really like that place because they still have the $5 ft long offer.

Hard Rock Café

I had to do laundry yesterday but right after that, my fiancée and I took the train to Manhattan to meet my family.

Once again, we sang “Happy Birthday” for my mom together with some champagne and grapes. After a while we became hungry so we all decided to go to Hard Rock Café at Times Square.

I was really hungry so I order some kind of trio meat platter with spareribs, chicken, and some barbeque meat. It was served with fries, coleslaw, and salad. It was too much to finish but I really enjoyed it.

We also had some deserts, consisting of chocolate ice cream and brownies. We also had nachos as a starter and everyone really liked it. It is definitely my favorite appetizer

My fiancée and I spent the night at their apartment and the morning after, we all had some Swedish breakfast. Swedish breakfast includes bread with cheese, yoghurt, and some fruit.

My family really wanted to see the Brooklyn Bridge so I took them there. We walked across half the bridge and stayed there for a while to take some pictures and enjoy the moment. The weather has been perfect today with over 25 degrees Celsius.

My family also wanted to go to New Jersey to take advantage of the lower tax rate. We took the path train to Newport, and the ride went very smoothly. It is Sunday though so the trains did not run that often.

We were all really hungry when we arrived there so we went straight to the food court to have some lunch. Everyone had different food, but my fiancée and I had Chinese food, which we really liked.

Tonight, we will just take it easy and relax in the apartment. We will probably order some take-away later. My family will attend a taping of Conan O Brian tomorrow and I will go out and do something with the kids.

Every day is packed with events and I really enjoy being with my family. It is nice to have a break from school, but I am sure that I will start missing it a little after my family leaves. That is why it is great that the break is only about two weeks long.

The Smallest Man In The World

Today was a pretty busy day. I let my mom know that she is going to a Conan O Brian show, we went to Statue of Liberty, and we had Italian food close to Times Square.

When I met the guy who used to work at Wall Street, he gave me the advice to sign up for the magazine “The Economist.” I signed up today and I am really excited about starting to read it.

The only mistake I made was that I did not sign up for the student edition. I lost about $40 because of that.

A very strange thing happened today. When my family arrived they showed me an article in a Swedish newspaper that described the smallest man in the world. Today, when we all stood in line for the Statue of Liberty, we saw the smallest man in the world in person.

We were all very surprised when we saw him and my family screamed at me, forcing me to go after him and take pictures. I felt a little bad about trying to take a picture of him but I must say that I really wanted to take one.

I went after him and finally got a pretty good shot on him. It is amazing that we saw him that day since we all had talked about him the first morning when my family arrived.

The trip to the Statue of Liberty was really nice. It is a beautiful piece and it is a very powerful feeling to stand that close to it. I took a lot of pictures and after that, we took the boat to Ellis Island.

I have never been there before actually. Ellis Island is the island where immigrants had to go before they were let in to Manhattan. All immigrants were examined physically and mentally and it is amazing to see what kind of instruments they were using at that time.

People can also read about some pretty sad stories and some of the pictures are really good.

After our trip there, we took the train to Times Square. My little brother wanted to go to Toys R Us, which is a huge toy store. Not only my brother was amazed by the store, my whole family was.

We had to eat something after that so we went to a great Italian place close to Times Square. The food was really good and I had Spaghetti Alla Carponara. We had a great time there and I can’t wait to see my family again today.

Swedish Birthday

My family arrived yesterday and it has been really good to see them. We had a Swedish birthday celebration for my mom this morning and she really liked it.

After everyone had woken up, my sister, fiancée, and I prepared to sing “happy birthday” for her. She wanted to eat donuts so we bought a dozen at Dunkin Donuts. We surprised her with the flowers and some other gifts and we had a great family moment.

After the celebration, we went out to eat breakfast. I took them to the diner as I had planned and we had pancakes with egg and bacon. It was really good and everyone liked it.

My family had to wait for the apartment, which they had rented, to get ready. We therefore had some extra time to spend so I took them down to Coney Island. The park was, unfortunately, closed but people can still see the rollercoaster and other roundabouts.

My mom’s husband really liked it because he recognized the place from a movie he had seen when he was younger. The movie is called Warriors and it is actually really fun to check out Coney Island after you have seen it because there are many scenes from there.

I wanted to take my family to the Brooklyn promenade but the guy with the apartment called us and we had to go. We took the train to there and the ride went great even though we had a lot of luggage to carry around.

The apartment is amazing. It is in Midtown Manhattan and it is a penthouse apartment so the view is fantastic. I am really happy for them that they found this place. I will spend the night there tonight, which I am looking forward to.

It is much better than a hotel actually because it is more personal and it is easier to keep the family together with an apartment. The best thing about it is that my family can cook and use the kitchen so they will not have to go out and eat every time they are hungry.

We also went to Planet Hollywood to have dinner this evening. It is a really nice place and their hamburgers are great. I had a big barbeque bacon cheeseburger. It tasted great and we had a really good time together.

I will see my family every day and tomorrow, we are planning to go to the Statue of Liberty. I have not been there since I visited New York in 2004 so I am really looking forward to it.

A Day With My Sister

Today was really good. My sister and I went to Manhattan because she wanted to go there, and also because she wanted me to meet a man called Dave.

He actually worked at Wall Street not long ago and he is very successful. He gave me some great advices about getting a job or internship and I think that he is a very good contact to have.

The first thing I did in Manhattan was actually to go to AT&T to see if they could give me an IPhone. They made some calls and they actually told me that there should not be a problem in getting me an IPhone for the discounted price.

They will have to contact a few other departments though so I could not get it today. This whole process is bothering me a little. I received my papers from the BBB today and they clearly state that I should get any offer from AT&T that includes a two-year plan.

IPhone does include this but since they are so afraid of scams, they will have to go through many different departments. I am happy that they now told me that there should not be a problem though.

My family will arrive later tonight and both me and my fiancée is getting excited about it. It will be really nice to meet my family again because it has been more than half a year since last time.

My sister and I bought ten really nice red roses for my mom. They are actually from my mom’s husband but since he is not here, we had to buy them. We bought them in Manhattan at a very good florist. I am not sure what the name of the store is but if I find out, I will definitely recommend it.

I have made some plans on what my family can do when they come here. I think I want to show them Brooklyn because they have never been here before. Like most tourists, they have always stayed in Manhattan.

I think I will take them to a diner close to my home for some breakfast. They have a great pancake platter and I think that they will like that.

We will do a lot these days so I will write a lot about that. I do not want to plan too much though because I want them to feel comfortable.

Finals are Over!

My sister arrived yesterday so I had to clean the room and make up some space. My room is very small so it was not easy to fit an extra mattress in here.

Everything turned out great in the end though. We did not do much after she arrived. She was very tired from the flight, which was good because it will be easier for her to get used to U.S. time that way.

I had my finals last Tuesday. I was very well prepared and my tests felt easy. I finished first in class in macroeconomics. It took my about 15 minutes so the teacher was very surprised and I think he got a little worried.

I got back my score a few days later though and I got 61 out of 62 questions right. I also had my advertising final. Since I finished the first finals really fast, I had time to go to the gym before having my last final.

After working out for 45 minutes, I went to do the final. I did not have to struggle with it. I felt that it was pretty easy and I finished in about 30 minutes. I got 100% on that test so I am very satisfied with myself right now.

I will maintain my 4.0 GPA again and that is a great feeling. My family will arrive in two days so I will have to prepare the apartment for them. There will be a lot of people here and the apartment is very small.

I will try to put a mattress in the living room and let four people sleep there and let four people sleep in my room. I think everything will work out though.

I also talked to AT&T about the IPhone. They have still not reached a decision so I do not know if I will get it or not. I am crossing my fingers though. There really is not a reason to not to give it to me.

Ice Coffee at McDonald's

I just realized that McDonald’s offer ice coffee for half the price than what Starbucks do. It tastes a little different and the coffee is not that strong, but the saving of two dollars sometimes makes it worth the loss in flavor.

I have studied for my two finals today and I feel ready for it now. I have not actually read all the chapters for my advertising class, but I have studied the study material and the things I need to know for the test.

The macroeconomics test will be fairly easy to me. I feel that I know everything that we have learned and the reason is that I really find macroeconomics interesting. I believe that the key to success is to get interested in whatever people want to be successful in.

My sister will come to New York today so I am very excited about her arrival. She will probably show up any minute now, but I have not yet heard from her.

I had to clean my room so that I do not make a bad impression on her so everything looks great now. Another reason I had to clean was because she will spend two nights here so I had to make up some space.

I was trying to get the IPhone today but I will have to wait another two days. I told the store that I had talked to the president’s office and they had left a note in the computer system. The store, however, has to send a letter to the general manager for permission to allow me to get the rebate.

I really hope that everything will get solved. If they won’t grant me the permission to get the IPhone for the discounted price, I will give the president’s office another call until they help me to solve this issue.

Hopefully I won’t have to do that though, and I will be able to spread good promotion for AT&T again.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes, and IPhone

I am having some problems with my wireless service provider right now. I have AT&T and my cell phone has terrible reception in most places.

I wanted to get a new phone because of this but I was actually, at first, thinking about cancelling my contract and change to T-Mobile. I never did this because it seemed to be my cell phone that was in bad collaboration with AT&T’s service.

I actually contacted the Better Business Bureau to handle this problem. AT&T called me after I had contacted the BBB and offered me to cancel my contract for an additional fee of $175. I did not want to do this and I would rather deal with my reception problem.

Yesterday I went out to get the new IPhone. I was really excited about getting it so after I had picked up my fiancée at her school we went to an AT&T store to buy one. What happened next made me pretty upset.

They said that I am not eligible for an upgrade until next year. If I want the IPhone, I will have to pay a higher price for it and I also have to extend my contract. I knew that I would have to extend my contract and I am fine with that, but a higher price?

I will call them tomorrow and talk to them about this. It is ridiculous that they can’t help me getting a new device. My reception is terrible and I won’t even be able to use their offers. What is funny is that you see the price for the IPhone to be $199 for 8GB and $299 for 16GB. However, that is with a two-year plan for those who are eligible for it.

I have been happy with AT&T until the thing with my cell phone happened. They have handled this in a terrible way. I am not done with this though so I hope that they will finally let me use their offer.

This weekend has been great other than that. I have done a lot of shopping with my fiancée. She is very much into shoes these days so I have had to walk around holding bags and giving suggestions a lot lately.

I have also studied for my two finals next week. I am not fully prepared yet so I will have to go over it a few more times. I don’t think I will have a problem with it though. Everything about macroeconomics falls naturally to me and the advertising questions are not too hard to understand.

9/11 Memorial

Yesterday was September 11 and I believe that it is important that everyone remembers the day and at least gives one minute of silence to show support and compassion with the people who were and are affected by this event.

I went to pick up my fiancée at her school yesterday, and we went to New Jersey to watch the tribute in light from there. The tribute in light is amazing. It is actually two very powerful spotlights that shine straight up in the sky.

New York has arranged this every year during the Memorial Day. This tribute is also called the beams of light and is fairly well known around the world. I have always wanted to see it in person so I was very excited about it.

I brought my camera and took the train to New Jersey. I was, at first, thinking about going to Hoboken but I found out that you would only see one beam of light from there because of the angle. I therefore took the train to Newport instead.

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the best viewpoint from the train but the walk is great. It offers a good view and it is right at the waterfront.

I took a few fantastic shots but I wished that I had stayed a little longer because afterwards I realized that I should have taken some more pictures with different camera settings and angles.

I am still very happy with the ones I took though. I have posted one picture that I took from there. I want to remind everyone that I do have copyright for all pictures posted here but feel free to enjoy them.

This quarter in school is soon to be over. I do not have any more regular classes, which is pretty nice. However, it sometimes feels as though the time goes by a little to fast.

The only things I have left in school now are two finals. I was lucky when it came to that actually because my first one starts at 10.30 and my second one is 13.00. People usually have their finals different days so I feel great about the schedule for the finals.

New Gym!

I  signed up at a gym two days ago. I am really excited about starting to work out again because it has been more than three months since I did that.

This gym is a lot better than the last one I went to. It is smaller, which makes it more personal and it is cleaner and more modern. Also, instead of traditional lockets, they are electronic so you do not need a key.

I went there the first time yesterday and everything works great. They have great machines with big screen televisions near by and people are really nice too.

I will start using the treadmill at first just to lose some weight, but I am really tempted in doing some weight lifting so I might start early with that.

I handed in my last international marketing case yesterday.  I wrote about three pages and I feel confident about it. I think I did a good job so I should end up with an A. I also got back my old case, which I got an A on.

I have an assignment in advertising and promotion to hand in on Thursday. I am working in a group, which I usually do not like but this time it is okay. Everyone in the group is motivated and I have done my part already.

I will go to school today just to organize the last things. The assignment was to create a media strategy for a new orange juice drink. We also had to create an advertisement in radio, television, or print.

My group did print so that gave me an opportunity to use my camera.  I am really happy with the result and I seriously believe that the orange juice company could use this. What we did was that we took a picture on a busy street in Manhattan when our model drank the orange juice.

At the same time as she was drinking she was stopping traffic. Together with this we have the title, “where do you enjoy your total vitamin.” The picture came out really professionally and we also have a few more ideas that we described in the paper.

Storm

There was a storm in New York yesterday. The news warned people from going outside so many stayed at home, making the streets look really empty.

However, I did not stay at home. I wanted to go out and pay the tuition for next quarter and I was also planning to go to Queens Mall with my fiancée. The weather never got that severe actually. I think that the coast took more damage than the city.

I usually pay the tuition with my debit card but my bank did not, for an unknown reason, want to raise the spending limit for me this time. That was okay though because that gave me an opportunity to write my very first check, which I did.

It very easy to write a check, I just thought it was fun because it was my first time. I have always liked to pay with credit card so I am not used to checks at all. We do not use that in Sweden that much either.

People at Berkeley College do not have to worry if they do not know how to write a check. Everyone will learn that in mathematics for business.

When I was done with my chores, I had to wait for my fiancée to get in to Manhattan. I went to the best place to wait at, Starbucks. The weather was really humid yesterday with humidity levels at 97 so it was nice to be inside to wait. I had a venti iced skinny vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin.

I have never tried the blueberry muffin before but I must say that it was one of the best muffins that I have ever had. It goes great with the coffee and it actually made me full. I will definitely buy that again.

When my fiancée arrived, we took the train to Queens. We had some fried noodles, AKA chow mein, with barbeque chicken. The food court is great there and the picture that I have posted is from there.

I will have to do some homework today. I think that I will stay inside most of the day but I have to go out and do laundry. I think I will do some cleaning too because my family is coming over to see me soon.

Italian Food

I had a really nice day yesterday because I went out to have a few beers with a friend after school. We have been talking about it for a long time but, unfortunately, I have been busy.

We went to a place in midtown Manhattan, somewhere between 7th and 9th avenue at 27th Street. They have a section on the sidewalk so people can enjoy the weather, which I like.

My friend’s wife came over after a few beers and we had some nachos with cheese together. We all got really hungry after that though so we went to an Italian restaurant. I had never been there before, but it was a really modern and fancy place.

The food was really good. I had a tuna salad to start with, tagliatelle with lobster for main course, and a great tiramisu for dessert. Everything was accompanied with a really refreshing margarita.

We had a really good time so we will definitely do that again.

I only have two more weeks left in school. Next week will be a normal week but the week after that is the final week. I will only have two tests that week, which will be on a Tuesday. This basically means that I only have four more classes to go to for this quarter.

I may go to Queens Mall with my fiancée today but we are not sure yet. She wanted to buy some shoes but I do not have anything that I really need.  I can be a nice trip though.

I got a new assignment in advertising and promotion yesterday. I will work together with a classmate so that will make things a little easier. We will have to come up with an idea of an ad, and I am planning to actually create one. I have the right camera for it so it could be fun.

I will go to school on Monday to finish it, but I might start doing it already this weekend. I also have to do my last international marketing case. I think I need a few hours for that one but it should be easier than the last case.

100%

I am having a day off from school today so I am at home, relaxing and doing some homework assignments.

I was just remembering that I only have two weeks more until this quarter ends. Every quarter goes extremely fast, which is good, I guess.

I handed in my international marketing midterm yesterday. I wrote about nine pages, which was a lot compared to my classmates. I think that the average person wrote about five pages.

I really do not think it is about the number of pages you write but how good it is. The only reason I wrote a lot was because I liked it. It is a subject that I really find interesting. It was about getting a company on the right track and I came up with tons of things that they could change in order to improve their situation.

It will be fun to get the paper back because I am really curious in what my professor will think about it.

I also got back my second exam in macroeconomics yesterday. I am usually really nervous right before the tests are handed out, but this time I felt really calm. I got a perfect score together with another classmate.

It feels really good to perform that well in a class like that. I believe it is an interesting class but also a very important one. The professor is very professional and smart, and I like having conversation with him about business and the economy.

I will have to do my third and last take-home exam for international marketing this weekend. I think that it is a little easier this time but it might also be a little tricky.

The case is about a company that plans to send someone to Saudi Arabia to negotiate a contract. They have to choose whom to send, and their decision lies between to persons. The paper gives you some information about the two individuals and what the company thinks about them.

I really like the cases that our professor is handing out. I love that it covers real world activities and it is very interesting to solve them. I think it is a lot easier to learn if the study material is reality based.

I will do some of the take-home exam now. I am thinking about going to Starbucks and do it but I am pretty comfortable in my apartment.

Weekend is Over

I ran out of Swedish groceries last week so I had to go and buy new ones this weekend. My fiancée and I took the free ferry from Manhattan to IKEA in Brooklyn to take care of this.

It is always tempting to buy furniture and accessories for your home when you are walking around in IKEA. I am really tempted in doing that actually but I will wait until I have moved to a new apartment.

I heard on the news that the IKEA store in Brooklyn is one of America’s busiest stores. It does not really surprise me though because there are always a lot of people. However, it is pretty amazing that one of the busiest stores is located in Brooklyn.

I saw a really cool advertisement yesterday. My fiancée and I were in Brooklyn and on our way to shop groceries, when we suddenly saw letters written in the sky. It said Geico, which is an insurance company here in the United States.

At first I thought it was airplanes that shaped the letters but I couldn’t see any planes. It was a very weird sight because it looked as if an invisible pen drew the letters. I still do not have any idea of how it worked but it is an amazing technique to advertise in.

I went to New Jersey today to take some pictures. My fiancée and I left at three because I wanted to catch the sunset and have the time to shop a little before taking the pictures.

There is a great mall close to the waterfront so it fit great to go there before shooting. They also have a great food court, like all the malls in the United States, so we had lunch there. We had some kind of steak with noodles and potatoes, which tasted great.

I bought two shirts for my fiancée to prepare her for, what she thinks is boring, photographing. The view is amazing from New Jersey, especially during sunset. The only downside is that you can’t really see the sun because you are facing east from there.

I got a few really good shots though so I am happy with the trip.

I finished all my homework today. I wrote nine pages for my case in international marketing and I feel really good about it. I covered a lot and some things that I wouldn’t have to cover. I am excited about getting it graded and see what my professor has to say about it.

I also did my homework in macroeconomics. It was about finding an article about macroeconomics and summarize it. We will discuss it in class tomorrow. I chose an article about the Fed, who wants to raise interest rates to meet inflation.

I really like this quarter because it covers a lot about economic issues and business situations.
